Liverpool manager Arne Slot has given a big update on Mohamed Salah as Liverpool faces Brighton in the upcoming English Premier League clash this weekend. The head coach has confirmed that the star player has been left out for Saturday's match.
In addition to this, it has also been revealed that the Egyptian forward will also remain at the club during the upcoming international break and will not join Egypt for their fixtures.
Liverpool boss Arne Slot’s big update on Mo. Salah
Slot spoke to the media ahead of Liverpool’s clash vs Brighton. He said that Salah is “not available for tomorrow.”
The Dutchman added that it's a good thing for Liverpool that the international break is on its way. However, Salah's injury will be bad news for Egypt as he will not be playing for them and will stay with the club.
Salah had requested to be substituted during Wednesday's 4-0 Champions League win over Galatasaray after feeling discomfort. The absence is a significant blow for Liverpool, who rely heavily on the player's goal-scoring ability this season amid the struggling form of the club.
The Reds head coach expressed cautious optimism about the 33-year-old's recovery timeline, noting his history of quick returns from setbacks, though the exact return date remains unclear ahead of key upcoming matches following the break.
