Man United icon calls Arsenal “worst team to win Premier League” if Mikel Arteta wins title

Meanwhile, a Man United legend has called out Arsenal to be the worst team in case they manage to lift the Premier League title this season. Paul Scholes, during his appearance on the latest episode of The Good, The Bad and The Football podcast, said:

“If Arsenal win the league, this could be the worst team to win the league.”

Scholes, who has won 11 league titles at Old Trafford, continued:

“If you’re thinking of picking a team of the season and picking the front four, nobody from the Arsenal team gets in that.”

Comparing the Premier League 2025-26 leaders with the previous champions, Liverpool, Scholes said:

“Look at previous champions – Liverpool’s forwards, brilliant. Possibly the only one is Saka, and I don’t think he’s been brilliant. He’s not scored many goals this year or assists.”

Meanwhile, Arteta’s side lost for the first time in over a month during Gameweek 23 as the Red Devils went into the Emirates Stadium and handed the Gunners their first home defeat of the season. Following the loss, Arsenal has now dropped points in three top-flight games in a row, giving hope to the nearest chasers, City and Aston Villa.
