Manchester United are interested in signing Salvador Blopa from Sporting CP. The Red Devils are looking to bring in the wing-back position, who can perform on both flanks.
Manchester United keeping tabs on Salvador Blopa
As per a report from Daily Mail, Manchester United are considering Blopa as an ideal player for their squad. The teenager has been on the radar of various clubs after his impressive debut for Sporting CP.
The defender was an integral player of Sporting CP's B team, before making it to the first team and producing two goals on his debut. Real Madrid are also keeping tabs on the teenager, who has been linked to PSG star Nuno Mendes.
The report comes after Paul Parker requested the Red Devils to sign a replacement for Diogo Dalot. The former player noted that the Portuguese star was only interested in high-fives and said:
"Dalot's making far too many mistakes, unnecessary mistakes. He's more interested in high-fiving people when he makes a tackle than actually doing his job properly. So, high-fives don't win you games of football. By the time you've done your high-five, they could have actually bounced off of your great tackle and gone and scored a goal."
"So, high-five at half-time or after the game. So, no, you can't trust Dalot there. You're not getting enough quality in the final third from him as well. He doesn't do enough defensively. He switches off too much, his clearances are poor, very poor, that's one reason."
Manchester United's other interests
Other than Blopa, Manchester United have also been linked with Sporting CP midfielder Morten Hjulmand.
Peter Schmeichel urges Manchester United to change captain
Earlier on Viaplay this season, Manchester United icon Peter Schmeichel urged Ruben Amorim to change the club captain. He criticised Bruno Fernandes for his body language on the field and said:
"I think Bruno is a fantastic player, plays maybe in the wrong position, but sometimes I don't like his body language. I know he talks really well to all the players but somethimes he has reactions that can be mistaken for something else. Harry doesn't have that, he has that calm head."
"I was saying during the game: Look at Harry, look at how he is telling everyone where to go and helping players. And there are a lot of players in this team that are so low on confidence that they need help. And then Harry plays and I'm so happy he scored that goal."
Earlier in the summer, Bruno was linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League in the Summer, and reports suggest they remain interested in signing him at the end of the season.
