Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has talked about the injury to Bukayo Saka after the forward was forced to miss their win against Leeds United. The Gunners secured a 4-0 win at Elland Road despite the absence of their star player, who suffered an injury during their warm-ups.
Another injury for Bukayo Saka?
Arteta's team sheet for the game had Saka in the right-wing but the forward did not play. The England international felt discomfort while warming up for the game and headed straight back to the dressing room.
Mikel Arteta talked with the reporters after his team clinched a convincing victory away from home. On Saka, he revealed that the extent of the injury was unknown, but that the Englishman had a niggle and had to be pulled out of the XI.
“We don't know yet. He had a little niggle in the warm-up", he said (via GOAL).
Bukayo Saka has appeared on a regular basis for Arsenal this season, playing 21 matches in the Premier League with 4 goals and 3 assists in the competition. The forward was given rest for the visit of Kairat Almaty in the UEFA Champions League in midweek but was unable to play against Leeds United.
Noni Madueke played in place of Saka in the game, giving an assist for the opener from Martin Zumbimendi.
