Story Highlights:

Alexander Isak has gained immense attention through his performance in the EPL.

Isak currently plays for Newcastle United.

Isak is among the leading goal scorers of the season till now.

One of the hottest properties in the Premier League currently, Alexander Isak won't be relieved by his club Newcastle United without drawing a huge sum out of him. The forward has been in an imperious form this season, scoring 11 goals in 16 appearances. Subsequently, he has garnered immense interest from the rival clubs.

Newcastle Raises the Price of Alexander Isak

Taking note of the situation, Newcastle United have apparently set the asking price for Alexander Isak over £150 million. Newcastle acquired Isak in 2022 from La Liga club Real Sociedad for a then-club-record fee of £63. With the performances he has put in for the club in the last couple of years, it is safe to say that he has justified his worth to the team.

Having scored 42 Premier League goals in 60 appearances, Isak has quickly risen to become one of the most sought-after forwards in Europe. The 25-year-old has scored seven goals in his last five PL appearances, elevating Newcastle to 5th in the table from 12th, in the process.

A performance like this certainly wasn't going to go unnoticed and according to reports, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, PSG, FC Barcelona, and Real Madrid, are all monitoring the forward. Arsenal may enter as the front-runner for the player as they have showcased a longstanding interest in the player. However, Liverpool may also come into an active fray as uncertainty around Mohamed Salah remains.

Newcastle's Stance Clear

Nevertheless, all things considered, Newcastle would likely retain Alexander Isak as the contract runs till 2028. Moreover, splurging as much as £150 would take an unbelievable wherewithal.

Manager Eddie Howe made the club’s position clear after Newcastle’s 4–0 victory over Ipswich Town on December 21.

There’s no part of me or anyone at Newcastle that wants to let Alex go. I would love for him to contribute to us winning a trophy.

Thus, whether Alexander Isak will opt for a transfer or not, the subject would likely gain perceptible intrigue in the weeks to come.
