Brazil and Al-Hilal star Neymar Jr. has expressed his views on the idea of sharing the field with former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez again. Known by the moniker, MSN, the trio used to score goals for fun for FC Barcelona from 2014 to 2017. The partnership between the forwards broke following the 2016-17 season, as after that Neymar was roped in by PSG for a record fee. Nevertheless, together they won several trophies, including the UEFA Champions League in 2014-15.

Neymar Talks About the Idea of Reuniting with Messi and Suarez

While Messi and Suarez still play for the same club- Inter Miami- Neymar briefly reunited with Messi at PSG from 2021 to 2023. However, the trio could never be formed ever again.

Neymar, who now features in the Saudi Pro League, was recently asked about the idea of playing alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez again. Regarding them as friends, Neymar said he is open to playing with Messi and Suarez again.

“Obviously, playing again with (Lionel) Messi and (Luis) Suarez would be incredible.”

The Brazilian revealed that the bond that they shared under Camp Nou still exists to this day as they are still in contact with each other. He took note of the option of moving to MLS and having the chance to feature alongside the Miami stars as well but also mentioned that he is satisfied with where he is at present.

“They are my friends. We still speak to each other. It would be interesting to revive this trio. I’m happy at Al Hilal, I’m happy in Saudi Arabia, but who knows. Football is full of surprises,” he explained to CNN Sport.

“When the news came out that I was leaving Paris Saint-Germain, the transfer window was closed in the United States, so I didn’t have this option.”
