According to the head coach, Guardiola plans to rotate his squad and will not have the same starting XI. The Spanish football manager also stated that there is a possibility that he will allow the academic players to play in the Carabao Cup, and Haaland did not participate in the training recently. He updated, as per the Manchester City site:

“Tomorrow we are not going to play the same starting XI as the last three games, that’s for sure. I said many times in the Carabao Cup, we respect this competition, because we won it four times, but the problem is arriving to it with no injuries, but we arrive with injuries. So it’s a chance for Academy players to play.”

As per the official site of the team, Guardiola said:

“[Haaland was in] recovery yesterday, he didn’t train.”

Talking about when we can expect his return, Guardiola hinted:

“Today I didn’t see him or the rest of the players yet but hopefully he can be [back] for the next weekend.”

The Sky Blues are locked in with a hectic schedule, with the team playing Huddersfield on Wednesday, followed by a fixture with Burnley on Saturday, then a Champions League trip to Monaco next Wednesday, before their Premier League encounter with Brentford that Sunday. It is to be seen how the former FC Barcelona manager rotates his side and makes it fruitful. The team recently faced the Gunners in an important match which ended up in a draw, all thanks to Haaland's early strike at 9th minute while Gabriel Martinelli scored for the opponents.
