Sergio Aguero was forced to retire from football after he was diagnosed with a cardiac arrhythmia while playing for Barcelona in October 2020. He returned to footballing action for a brief period when he turned up for the 'King’s League’ 7-a-side division competition and rolled back the clock with a goal reminiscent of his time back with Manchester City.

The Manchester City legend fired a wonderful shot on the turn into the bottom corner of the goal and chose to celebrate the strike with Lionel Messi's iconic celebration during Argentina's Quarterfinal clash against the Netherlands, which was a tribute to Juan Roman Riquelme and against the former Dutch head coach Louis Van Gaal.

Aguero received the ball with his back to the goal and held off a couple of defenders, before moving the ball onto his left foot and sweeping a wonderful effort into the bottom corner.

Aguero had turned out for the Kunisports team within Pique’s strange, but undoubtedly entertaining, football division. The Argentine’s appearance in the division was initially a secret by Pique before his big reveal. The former Manchester United defender teased his appearance by saying Kunisports’ 12th player would be a Primera Division player who had played in the Champions League. Very few expected Aguero would be the player to be unveiled.

Aguero came out dressed up as a joker at a circus in what appeared to be a dig at La Liga president Javier Tebas, who branded the football division as a 'circus'.

The former Argentine striker is a legend of the sport, having won multiple accolades with Manchester City in the Premier League. The forward scored 184 goals in 275 appearances for the Cityzens.
