Kylian Mbappe's hopes of lifting the UEFA Champions League were dealt with a massive blow after they were knocked out of the tournament on Wednesday when Arsenal handed them a 2-1 loss at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. The Los Blancos lost the quarterfinal 5-1 on aggregate as the lost the first leg 3-0 at Emirates.

To make things worse for Real Madrid, he was replaced in the 75th minute of the second leg after he twisted his right ankle. Not just this, most of the crowd present at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium booed when Mbappe's substitution was announced.
The good news is that he was able to walk off the field by himself but was seen limping and in pain as well.
The 26-year-old Frenchman joined the European giants in the summer with the hopes of turning his fortune around in the competition, after coming close of lifting the trophy with Paris Saint Germain in the past.
The injury comes at a very bad time for both Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe as the former will take on Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final, which will be played in Sevilla on Sunday, April 27. The club didn't release the details of the extend of his injury.
Mbappe will be missing the next clash in the La Liga when Real Madrid go head to head against Athletic Club after receiving a one-match band for the red card he got during the 1-0 win against Deportivo Alaves.
