Jürgen Klopp was once again left with several questions linking him to Real Madrid during a press conference in Germany. The former Liverpool head coach has not coached since he said goodbye to the Reds in 2024 at the Anfiled stadium following a nine-year stint.
Klopp, who now serves as the Head of Global Soccer of Red Bull, has been constantly linked with Alvaro Arbeloa’s side ever since Xabi Alonso was sacked amid a struggling season. Meanwhile, the German has once responded to the links at Santiago Bernabeu amid the rumors.

As he appeared for a press conference, while speaking to Magenta TV, Klopp called all the rumors “nonsense”. He added that Madrid has never called him regrading the offer. He said:
“If Real had called me, you would have heard about it. But they haven’t called.”
The former Liverpool boss added:
“And what next - am I also taking over Atlético at the same time? Sorry, Madrid. They have to call me first before I can say anything.”
Klopp, who is also rumored to be taking over as Germany’s head coach as a successor of Julian Nagelsmann, stated that he has “no plans” to unseat his countryman. The 58-year-old revealed that he gets annoyed by the made-up stories.
