India are gearing up for the Men's Hockey World Cup 2023 which is set to kick off from January 13 in Odisha and will conclude on January 29. The marquee tournament will be played in the famous Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar and Birsa Munda Stadium in Rourkela. The Harmanpreet Singh-led India will be chasing their second World Cup title as they last taste the glory back in 1975 when they defeated their arch-nemesis Pakistan in the summit clash at Kuala Lumpur. India, who are hosting the Hockey World Cup for the second time in a row, will look to end their 48-year-old title drought.

The entire nation will hook their hopes on Team India, who are eight-time Olympic champions and are riding on the back of Tokyo Olympics' bronze medal and Commonwealth Games 2022's silver metal. India will look to make the most of the home conditions when they will be pitted against the best teams in the world in a bid to clinch the elusive title.

Team India are placed in Group D alongside England, Spain, and Wales. They will open the campaign against Spain in Rourkela on January 13. On the very same venue, Harmanpreet's men will lock horns with England on January 15. They will play their final league match against Wales in Bhubaneswar on January 19. Henceforth, the knockout rounds will take place from January 22 and eventually the tournament will conclude on January 29.
