Resilience from Team India

India reacted strongly in the second quarter as captain Harmanpreet Singh converted a penalty corner to restore parity. The equaliser shifted the momentum in India's favour, and just eight minutes later, Dilpreet Singh scored the goal to put India ahead with a 2-1 score line.

England's remarkable comeback

India went into the half-time break with a 2-1 lead, but the English side responded strongly after the start. Eight minutes into the third quarter, Stuart struck a brilliant field goal to bring England level at 2-2. The equaliser put India's defense in a challenging pressure as England continued to push forward.

Just four minutes later, Henry found the net to complete England's turnaround and make it 3-2 heading into the decisive final quarter. India had a big chance to level the score after earning a penalty corner at the start of the fourth quarter, but failed to convert the chance.

After enduring a tough 3-2 loss against England, India will prepare to lock horns against arch-rivals Pakistan in the upcoming Pool D clash on Wednesday, August 19. It will be a must-win game for India, as their fate will rely on the outcome against Pakistan.
