China win the Asia Cup title for the third time in their history

China handed a one-sided 4-1 defeat to India in the final of the Women's Hockey Asia Cup 2025. It was a completely dominant performance from the Chinese, who after conceding in the first match, hit four goals and comprehensively won the match. With this defeat, India failed to secure automatic qualification to for next year's World Cup unlike China, who booked their place for the tournament.

India were provided with an outstanding start by Navneet Kaur, who managed to score in the opening minute itself. After they missed out on scoring in their first two penalty-corners, Navneet didn't let go of the third chance and gave India the much-needed lead in the final.

China levelled up the scores in 2nd quarter

However, China wouldn't go down that easily and even though India carried the slender lead in the first quarter, their opponents managed to level the score 20 minutes later. Ou Zixia was the one, who opened China's account for the game and helped them in equalizing the scores. The scoreline would remain at 1-1 at half-time.
