On Tuesday, June 17th, the Florida Panthers thrashed Edmonton Oilers 5-1 in Game 6 as they clinched their second Stanley Cup title on the trot. After winning the title, Tkachuk emphasized their three straight appearances in the Stanley Cup Finals and lifting two championships in that span.
Following the game, Tkachuk expressed his gratitude of being a part of such a special group. He declared that the Panthers' consistent run of success marks them as a dynasty.
Not for myself personally. I didn’t think this was possible. I could have just thrown in the towel, got myself fixed up, and missed it. There were days I wanted to do that. But I knew this group was too special, and we had a chance, Tkachuk said.

Matthew Tkachuk was one of the key players in helping the Florida Panthers winning back-to-back championships. During the Finals, he notched up 23 points as he had eight goals and 15 assists in the 23 postseason games. Not just this, his eight goals include a goal which sealed the deal for them in Game 6.

On Tuesday, the Florida Panthers won their second Stanley Cup title in the franchise's history after defeating Edmonton Oilers in Game 6 at the Amerant Bank Arena.
Sam Reinhart opened the scoring for the home team in the first period. With less than one minute remaining in the first period, it was Matthew Tkachuk who doubled the Panthers lead. Then again, it was Reinhart, who scored his second of the night as the Panthers had a commanding 3-0 lead. In the third period, Reinhart completed his hattrick as he made it 4-0.
Reinhart didn't stop there as the registered his fourth goal of the night as the Panthers had a formidable 5-0 lead. The only goal scored by the Edmonton Oilers came from Vasily Podkolzin in the final period of the game as the score line was 5-1. Sergei Bobrovsky managed 28 saves and posted a .966 save percentage. Sam Bennett was awarded with the Conn Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player in the playoffs.
