Bengal Warriors got the better of UP Yoddhas on January 13.

Bengal Warriors handed the U.P. Yoddhas their fifth consecutive defeat with a 42-37 victory in a thrilling Pro Kabaddi League match at the SMS Indoor Stadium on Saturday, January 13. Despite a remarkable 16-point performance by Pardeep Narwal, the U.P. Yoddhas fell short against the Bengal Warriors, who showcased superior team coordination. Leading the charge for the Warriors were Maninder Singh with 14 points and Nitin Kumar with 10 points, contributing significantly to their team's triumph.

The game, anticipated as a showcase for raiders, lived up to expectations, particularly with Maninder Singh asserting his dominance early. He amassed 9 points in the first half, evading tackles throughout. Pardeep Narwal, on the opposing side, also shone by scoring 7 points in the same period, keeping his team in contention.

However, the Bengal Warriors' edge came from their balanced attack, with multiple raiders scoring and a defense that contributed 4 points compared to just 1 by the U.P. Yoddhas. This teamwork enabled the Warriors to execute the first ALL OUT of the match and secure a comfortable lead by halftime.

Beginning the second half with high intensity, the U.P. Yoddhas quickly turned the tables by inflicting an ALL OUT within the first three minutes, narrowing the gap to 20-24. However, the Bengal Warriors were determined not to succumb, gradually regaining their lead.

Pardeep Narwal, almost single-handedly, strove to close the gap, with little support from his teammates. His persistent efforts led to a second ALL OUT for the U.P. Yoddhas, bringing them within three points of the lead with less than two minutes remaining. Despite this late surge, the Warriors maintained their composure, strategically running down the clock to secure a well-earned victory.
