Surender Gill led U.P. Yoddha to a convincing win over Puneri Paltan by 50-40 match 60 of the ongoing Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 8. In the second game, Telugu Titans lost in a closely-fought contest against Bengaluru Bulls as they continue their losing run.

Gill registered as many as 21 points whereas Pardeep Narwal scored super 10 to capitalise on Paltan's unforced defensive errors. For Paltan, Mohit Goyat and Aslam Inamdar registered Super 10s but they could not reduce to the deficit as Paltan lost by a margin of 10 points in a high-scoring affair.

Till the end of first half, both the teams were in the game with the score reading 20-20. Just one empty raid was recorded in the first five minutes. While Narwal bagged a three-point super raid, Inamdar and Goyat managed to pull of first all out in the 10th minute of the first half. With seven minutes remaining in the first half, Yoddhas got their first all out too with Gill's three-point super raid.

Yoddhas were even more aggressive in the second half as they got another all-out in the fifth minute and took a seven-point lead. In the 10th minute as well, the Narwal-Gill duo helped pull off another all out. While Inamdar tried to get his team back in the game with a three-point super raid, Pune defenders erred too many times to put some pressure on Yoddhas.

With this win, Yoddha surpass Pink Panthers and move to the fourth spot whereas Paltan are still struggling at the 10th spot with 21 points to their name.

In the second game of the night, Bengaluru Bulls beat Telugu Titans in a game that went right down to the wire.
