On Day 1 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 11 Player Auction, which took place in Mumbai on August 15, 2024, Sachin emerged as the highest-bidded player. Tamil Thalaivas paid INR 2.15 crores for him. At the same time, Haryana Steelers purchased Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh, making him the most expensive foreign player at the Pro Kabaddi League Player Auction, for a staggering INR 2.07 crore. He became the first foreign player to be purchased in consecutive Player Auctions for more than INR 2 crore. On Day 1, as many as three Final Bid Match (FBM) cards were used in the sale of 20 players to the 12 franchise teams. The FBM card was utilized by the Bengal Warriorz, Telugu Titans, and Gujarat Giants, respectively, for Maninder Singh, Pawan Sehrawat, and Sombir.
PKL stars shatter many records
This PKL auction Auction saw a record number of players in the 1 crore club. In day 1 of the Player Auction, the 1 crore club included Sachin, Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh, Guman Singh, Pawan Sehrawat, Bharat, Maninder Singh, Ajinkya Pawar, and Sunil Kumar. Sunil Kumar became the most expensive Indian defender in history when he signed with U Mumba for INR 1.015 crore. Bengaluru Bulls purchased Pardeep Narwal, the PKL player with the most raid points, for INR 70 Lakh, while Jaipur Pink Panthers purchased veteran defender Surjeet Singh for INR 60 Lakh.

“It feels really good to go back to the team I started with in my PKL journey. I'm looking forward to playing with the young players in the Bulls side. I am hoping to cross 1800 raid points in my career,” PKL's most successful raider Pardeep Narwal said on joining Bengaluru Bulls.
"I am very happy to be back. I will look to perform even better than last season and Bengal Warriorz has always been a home to me. The team is like a family and I have played with them for 6 years so I am very happy to be back," said Maninder Singh, who went back to Bengal Warriorz for INR 1.15 Crore.
