As the fight for F1 Championship 2024 goes down the wire McLaren driver Lando Norris has credited the team for doing a better job than F1 rivals Red Bull. Lando Norris recently won the Singapore Grand Prix 2024 overhauling Max Verstappen who is currently leading the chart. The win also helped Lando narrow the F1 Drivers standing gap. He also achieved the pole position in Singapore. Oscar Piastri won the Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2024. This is the first time since McLaren achieved back-to-back victories since 2012. Max Verstappen was second and Oscar took third in Singapore as McLaren increased Constructors' Championship lead over Red Bull.
"We are doing a better job as a team right now because my car, our car, is quicker than theirs [Red Bull].But that's just credit to the team for doing an amazing job, for being smarter and doing cooler things, creating mini-DRS flaps and stuff. I'm working my heart out, I'm working my butt off, to try and make sure that happens [winning the drivers' championship]," the three-time grand prix winner said. He's [Verstappen] trying to make sure it doesn't happen. So, we'll have to wait and find out," the 24-year-old told media.
