Formula One 2016 Champion Nico Rosberg has achieved a major milestone in his post-F1 career, with his investment fund, Rosberg Ventures, reaching an impressive $100 million in assets under management. The 2016 Formula 1 World Champion took to social media to announce that his company had surpassed the $100 million mark, underscoring the success of his business endeavors since his shock retirement from the sport.

Rosberg Hits Major $100 Million Asset Milestone

In a surprising move following his championship win, Rosberg announced his retirement from Formula 1 in 2016. Since then, he has balanced a career in punditry with his growing business ventures. He has also been a regular investor on *Die Höhle der Löwen* (the German version of *Dragon’s Den* and *Shark Tank*) for five years, though he stepped back from the show in 2023.

Through Rosberg Ventures, he established a 'fund of funds' in April, pooling capital to invest through other venture capital firms. This strategic move has paid off, with the company now reaching a significant asset valuation.

“Huge milestone: Rosberg Ventures crossed $100M in Assets Under Management!” Rosberg posted on X (formerly Twitter). “Very humbled by the great support we have received by our partners. I look forward to our joint journey!”

In an interview with Forbes, Rosberg revealed that at least $5 million of the $100 million comes from his personal investments, which he placed through top-performing venture capital firms in the United States.

Rosberg explained his strategy: “It makes a lot of sense to give your money to the best in the world.”

Rosberg also shared an anecdote about how he made a lasting impression on Mike Maples Jr., the co-founder of the renowned venture capital firm Floodgate, at a New York conference. With a sea of people vying for Maples' attention, Rosberg seized the moment to stand out.

“I’m very humble usually, but I have to use the two-second intro to set myself apart. So I just went straight [up to him], and I was like, ‘Hey, I’m Formula 1 World Champion Nico," Rosberg recalled.

While Rosberg is no longer competing in Formula 1, he remains a regular presence in the paddock as a pundit, offering his insights into the sport he once dominated.
