Former Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso has made a significant announcement ahead of the 2025 season, confirming a new deal that is set to expand his role within motorsport. The two-time world champion, who will turn 44 during the upcoming season, continues to defy age and expectations, remaining one of the most competitive drivers on the F1 grid.

Alonso's continued success in Formula 1

Despite being in his early 40s, Alonso has shown no signs of slowing down since his return to F1 in 2021. The Spaniard has delivered remarkable performances for Alpine and Aston Martin, proving that age is no barrier when paired with the right machinery. 

In the 2023 season, for instance, Alonso thrived with a strong Aston Martin car, finishing on the podium five times in the first six races and securing eight podiums that year.

Alonso's expanding role in Motorsports management

Beyond his racing career, Alonso is also making strides in motorsport management. Through his company, A14 Management, the two-time F1 world champion has taken on the role of managing up-and-coming drivers. 

Notably, Alonso has guided Gabriel Bortoleto to F1, further cementing his influence in the sport.

Will Power joins A14 management

In his latest move, Alonso has announced a major new signing for his management company. IndyCar star Will Power has joined A14 Management ahead of the new season, marking an exciting partnership between the two motorsport icons. 

The announcement was made official through an Instagram post from A14 Management, which revealed: "A14 Management is pleased to announce that @12willpower has joined the company."

Will Power's excitement and ambitions for the future

Power, who is also 43 years old, is a two-time IndyCar champion and continues to compete at the highest level of the series with Team Penske. In a statement, he expressed his excitement about the partnership, saying, "I am very excited about this partnership with Oriol, Fernando and A14 Management. They will be very beneficial with my future with IndyCar and other endeavours outside of IndyCar like the Daytona 24 Hour and Le Mans, which has always been a dream of mine to compete in."

Power also shared his admiration for Alonso, stating, "Fernando Alonso is someone I’ve admired for a long time and have a huge amount of respect for all that he has accomplished."

With the addition of Power to A14 Management, Alonso continues to build on his influence in motorsport, further solidifying his legacy both on and off the track. The partnership is expected to open up new opportunities for Power in both IndyCar and endurance racing, while Alonso’s expertise will undoubtedly help Power navigate these new challenges.
