The Haas Factory Team has announced that veterans Jonathan Toney and Jason Trinchere will serve as the crew chiefs for the team’s 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign, the organization revealed on Wednesday.
Jonathan Toney to lead Sheldon Creed in the No. 00 Ford
Jonathan Toney, who has been with Haas CNC Racing for over 20 years, will be paired with Sheldon Creed in the No. 00 Ford for the 2025 season. Toney, who played a pivotal role in leading Cole Custer to the 2023 Xfinity Series title, will bring his expertise and experience to the team once again. Under Toney’s guidance, Custer secured five wins over the past two seasons, and now he looks to continue that success with Creed behind the wheel.
“I’m excited to continue working with such a talented group,” Toney said. “The success we’ve had together over the years is a testament to the dedication of the entire team. I’m confident that we can achieve great things with Sheldon this season.”
Jason Trinchere takes charge of the No. 41 car with Sam Mayer
Jason Trinchere, who has a wealth of experience in NASCAR’s lower series, will join the Haas Factory Team as the crew chief for Sam Mayer’s No. 41 car. Trinchere returns to the Xfinity Series after a year in the Craftsman Truck Series with Spire Motorsports, where he crew-chiefed the No. 77 Chevrolet for Chase Purdy in 2024.
Before his time in the Truck Series, Trinchere spent four seasons with Kaulig Racing, where he guided AJ Allmendinger to a five-win campaign in 2021.
“I’m thrilled to join the Haas Factory Team and work with Sam,” Trinchere said. “The team’s commitment to success is inspiring, and I’m eager to help Sam build on his potential for a strong season ahead.”
Haas Factory Team expands with new Competition Directors
Alongside the announcement of the new crew chiefs, the Haas Factory Team also revealed two key hires for the 2025 season. Nick Sandler will take the reins as the team’s Cup Series competition director, overseeing the No. 41 Ford driven by Cole Custer. Sandler, a seasoned veteran with 19 years at RFK Racing, previously served as the crew chief for Ricky Stenhouse Jr. in 2015-16 and later directed RFK’s engineering department.
Adam Gravitt, who has been with the Haas NASCAR program since 2004, will lead the Xfinity Series competition efforts as the team’s director. Gravitt previously served as the engineering director for Stewart-Haas Racing’s Xfinity team.
The appointments of Toney, Trinchere, Sandler, and Gravitt signal the Haas Factory Team’s commitment to building a competitive and dynamic program for the upcoming NASCAR season.
