Tom Brady know as the greatest Quarterback in NFL history has shared that his most fond football memory and suprisingly that wasn’t one of his seven Super Bowl wins.
It was but rather a heartwarming moment with his son following the Buccaneers' victory over the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship.
Brady's achievements
Brady, who retired in February 2023 after an exceptional 23-season NFL career, made history by winning seven Super Bowls — six with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Despite his numerous accomplishments, including five Super Bowl MVPs and three NFL MVP awards, Brady emphasized that his most cherished moment in football came not from a championship game, but from a touching experience after a playoff victory in the 2020 season.
In that playoff run, Brady led the Buccaneers to a 31-26 win over the Packers at Lambeau Field, throwing for 280 yards and three touchdowns. The win secured Tampa Bay’s spot in Super Bowl LV, where they would go on to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs. Yet, for Brady, the memory that stands out the most came after that game when his then 17-year-old son, Jack, came down onto the field to hug him.
"My greatest football memory is having Jack in the stands after the Bucs-Green Bay victory when he came down and gave me a hug. That was probably one of the greatest days of my life," Brady shared in a video posted on X by the NFL.
Brady's Super Bowl wins
While Brady’s Super Bowl wins and memorable moments in games against teams like the Falcons, Rams, and Seahawks are a huge part of his legacy, he chose the Green Bay game as his favorite for its emotional significance. It was not only a pivotal moment in Brady’s career, marking his first season with the Buccaneers and propelling them to the Super Bowl, but also a personal milestone shared with his son.
Brady’s move from the Patriots to the Buccaneers had already been seen as a major gamble, but his success in turning the Buccaneers into champions was a testament to his talent and leadership. The Packers’ victory, and the subsequent Super Bowl win, helped cement his status as the NFL’s greatest quarterback. For many fans, this NFC Championship victory over Aaron Rodgers and the Packers remains a key highlight of Brady’s storied career. It was also the only time Brady faced Rodgers in the playoffs, adding even more significance to the game.
Brady will now embark on a new chapter as part of FOX Sports’ top NFL broadcast team, having signed a 10-year, $375 million deal in 2022 after his initial retirement.
