Swapnil Kusale brought glory to the nation by securing the country's first-ever bronze medal in the 50m rifle 3 positions event at the Paris Games 2024. His impressive final score of 451.4 points propelled him to the third position, capping off a remarkable comeback after initially being placed sixth. This was India’s third medal of shooting the Olympics 2024, India won all their medals in the same event. Earlier, Manu Bhaker won a bronze medal at the Women’s individual 10m air pistol event on Day 2 bringing a medal in shooting after 12 years of drought. After winning her first medal she won another bronze medal at the 10m air pistol mixed team event along with Sarabjot Singh on Day 4 of the games.
