Sarabjot Singh created history with Manu Bhaker by winning India's first bronze medal in a mixed team shooting event at the Olympics. Sarabjot and Bhaker won the bronze medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team event. Upon his return, Sarabjot was offeered a job by the Haryana government. However, the 22-year-old Sarabjot rejected the job saying as much as his family wants him to get a decent job, he wants to focus on the game currently.
"The job is good, but I will not take it right now. I want to focus on my shooting first," Sarabjot told reporters.
"My family has also been asking me to get a decent job, but I want to pursue shooting. I don't want to go against the decisions that I have made, so I cannot take a job right now," he added.
While Sarabjot won the bronze medal in mixed team event, he missed out on making it to the medal round of the individual event by a small margin.
