The Paris Olympics 2024 is scheduled to begin on July 26. Indian archers have already raised great hopes of a medal. The women's team consisting of Ankita Bhakat, Bhajan Kaur, and Deepika Kumari made it straight to the quarterfinals from the ranking round. Now the men's archery team also performed extremely well and made it to the quarterfinals even before the start of the Paris Olympics 2024. Dhiraj Bommadevara gave his best performance for India in the team ranking round.
Men's team's astonishing performance
Dhiraj Bommadevara, Tarundeep Rai, and Praveen Jadhav participated from the Indian men's team. Dhiraj scored 681 points, Tarundeep scored 674 and Praveen scored 658 points. With this, the men's archery team secured third position with a total of 2013 points. This helped the men's team to directly qualify for the quarterfinals. Republic of Korea stood first with 2049 points, France stood second with 2025 points and China stood fourth with 1993 points. As per the rules teams finishing in the top-4 in the ranking round directly enter the quarterfinals.

Mixed-team misses by a single point
Talking about the ranking round of the mixed team event, the pair of Ankita Bhakat (666) and Dhiraj Bommadevara (681) secured fifth position with a total of 1347 points, while China secured fourth position with 1348 points and entered the quarterfinals. In the mixed team event, Korea stood first with 1380 points, followed by Germany with 1351 points and America stood third with 1349 points.
Men's performance in single's competition
Talking about the men's individual round of archery, Dhiraj Bommadevara's performance was excellent here also. He secured the fourth seed with a total of 681 points. While in the individual event, Korea's Kim Ojin stood first with 686 points, while Korea's Kim Jae Tho stood second. Florian of Germany stood third. Apart from Dhiraj, Tarundeep Rai stood at 14th position with a score of 674 and Praveen Ramesh Jadhav stood at 39th position with a score of 658.
