India's hope to win a Badminton medal in the Paris Olympics 2024 came to an end with star shuttler Lakshya Sen losing the Bronze medal match against Malaysia's Lee Zii Jia. The Indian badminton contingent, which consisted of stars like PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen, HS Pranoy, and Satwik-Chirag, failed to even get one medal. A day after his heartbreaking loss, Lakshya Sen has penned down an emotional note reflecting upon his journey.
Lakshya Sen pens down emotional note
Sen expressed his heartbreak and hard work. He said he fought with all of his efforts but just missed out on the medal. He said “Hi everyone! My journey at the Paris 2024 Olympics has been both an honor and a heartbreak. I gave my all, fought with every ounce of strength, but fell just short of the podium. I am very grateful to all the supporters for their unwavering support.”

Prakash Padukone slams Indian shuttlers
This is the first time in 12 years that India will return without a badminton medal from the Olympics. Padukone was unimpressed with Indian shuttles and told them to improve their game as unlike earlier times they don't have top face facilities and fund issues anymore.
"All the support and finances that were needed to perform at the top level were given to the Indian players. It’s not like earlier times where our players lacked facilities and funds. So it’s high time our players step-up and win as expected," said Prakash Padukone after Lakshya Sen's loss.
