Pakistan javelin Olympics gold medallist Arshad Nadeem was spotted chatting with UN-designated Lashkar terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba leader Harris Dhar after clinching the gold medal by breaking the 32-year drought of an Olympic gold. Arshad clinched the gold medal with an Olympic record of 92.97 meters in the Men's Javelin throw final. 

 

India's gold medallist Neeraj Chopra was behind him he clinched the silver medal in multinational event by registering the throw of 89.35 his season best. Nadeem became the first track and field athlete from Pakistan to clinch an Olympic gold medal.

Arshad received a great welcome in Pakistan after winning the gold medal in Paris Olympics 2024. The government have also announced that they will honour him with Hilal-e-Imtiaz, the second-highest award of the country, for his stupendous feat in the Paris Olympics 2024.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz handed Nadeem the cash prize and the car keys when she visited Nadeem's village in Mian Chunnu to meet him and his family.

 

“Arshad deserves everything he gets because he has brought so much joy and pride to the nation,” she said.

"I am thankful to the nation. Everyone prayed for me, and I was hopeful of doing well. Over the years, I got a knee injury and recovered, and worked hard on my fitness. I was even confident of throwing beyond 92.97m, but that throw was enough for me to get the gold. I will continue to work hard and give my best in the days and months to come. I am planning to throw beyond this mark as well" said Arshad Nadeem.
