The women's kabaddi squad from India triumphantly clinched their third title at the continental extravaganza, bettering their second-place finish from the previous edition of the Games held in Indonesia.ย

The journey to victory wasn't a cakewalk for the Indian team. In the grand finale, they faced an incredibly resilient Chinese Taipei side that missed the gold by a mere point. The final moments of the match were nail-biting, with the outcome hanging in the balance. Yet, the Indian women displayed unparalleled grit and composure, especially in the final two raids, ultimately turning the tide in their favor.

Heading into the half-time, the Indian team had carved out a five-point advantage, largely due to a spectacular super raid by Pooja. Her brilliant performance stood out in an intense title clash that had spectators on the edge of their seats. Moreover, the tension in the match could be gauged by the fact that the team's coach even received a cautionary green card during the play.

This title triumph is not just a testament to the team's skill but also their spirit. Faced with the burden of national expectations and a formidable opponent, the women's kabaddi team managed to rise above, etching another golden chapter in India's sporting history at the Asian Games.
