UFC 313 is in the books and while the card delivered on many accounts, it also left fans yearning for more in many areas. The main event fight between Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev for the UFC Light-Heavyweight title showcased both fighters taking a measured approach and refraining from going all out. The co-main event fight between Justin Gaethje and Rafael Fiziev however showcased what it promised- Pure violence. Aside from the cold and hot headliner fights, the event witnessed a vicious knockout, delivered by Mauricio Ruffy on King Green. Aside from that the show also saw a quiet retirement.

“Yeah, he yelled through the cage to me and I said, ‘Yeah, alright’, I let the truck know that he was gonna retire and then I think somebody talked him out of retiring in the Octagon tonight, I don’t know if it was Belal (Muhammad) or who it was,” Dana began to explain.
“Yeah, you know how I feel about that, usually when you start (considering retirement), rarely do I disagree with somebody when they feel like they wanna retire,” the boss continued.

Jalin Turner On Taking the Decision to Retire
Retirement at the age of 29 is almost unheard but Jalin Turner has made up his mind and the thought of retiring stemmed in him following UFC 300.
“I was already entertaining the thought, you know, retiring after UFC 300, I took a bit of time off but kept training, I was trying to get my mind right and just focus on my mental health,” Turner explained to Aaron Bronsteter as he broke down in tears.
“It’s hard man, fighting is hard, I’ve even doing it for 12 years and you’ve got to be all in or not and even being in there tonight, I wasn’t all in, I though I would be.
“The decision to stay or not was honestly based off this fight for me… I’ve been thinking about this for the last 11 months if I’m gonna keep fighting or not… My kids are getting older, I don’t want to keep taking damage, training camps are hard, life has taken its toll,” he continued.
