In association with her Pocket Rocket Foundation, the Olympian hosted an annual Christmas treat on Thursday, December 26, that featured more than 100 children and their parents from her hometown of Waterhouse, Kingston. The event was filled with fun activities and sweet treats for the participants. Notably, it was the 17th consecutive year that Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce hosted such a spectacle, and reflecting on the same, she noted that the 'Waterhouse Christmas treat' has become a tradition for her. It holds a special place in her heart.

"The Waterhouse Christmas treat is now a tradition for me, and it holds a special and significant place in my heart. Every Boxing Day I know that is what I will be doing, and it gives me tremendous joy to be able to give back to the community I grew up in by pouring into the little ones,” Fraser-Pryce said in her statement.

"Waterhouse is where my journey began, and every year I am here at the forefront interacting with the children. Seeing their smiles and how their little faces light up reminds me of why this tradition is so special; it is something I am looking forward to for many more years to come," she added.

A group of volunteers supported the children throughout the celebrations, while brands like Toyota stepped in to help by sponsoring transportation, ensuring the children and their families made it home safely.
