WWE to debut on Netflix with Behind the Scenes documentary series, know details about the big partnership

World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. which is a part of TKO Group Holdings is all set to make a ravishing debut on the popular streaming service Netflix. WWE is set to debut with a Behind the scenes documentary on Netflix Inc. The WWE president Nick Khan made his announcement on Thursday. The awaited series will be a part of WWE's expanding partnership with Netflix. Earlier this year the two stalwarts of the entertainment industry. The deal is for 10 years and will bring WWE's famous program RAW to Netflix in 2025. Nick confirmed this news during a Sports Conference at the University of Southern California in Inglewood, California. 

Khan also mentioned that the upcoming series will focus on WWE’s roster, featuring only WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Michael Levesque, known to fans as Triple H.

WWE's growing Global presence

During the conference, Khan highlighted that this collaboration represents an exciting advancement for WWE’s global presence. This new series continues Netflix's expansion into sports content, following the success of programs like “Last Chance U,” which spotlighted community college football players, and “Formula 1: Drive to Survive,” a popular documentary series about the world of Formula 1 racing. Recently Netflix's show Starting 5 also gained popularity. 

 WWE Raw will transition from the USA Network to Netflix on January 6th, taking place at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. Insiders have shared insights about the plans for this debut show, stating that fans can anticipate “one of the biggest episodes of Raw in history,” although no further details have been disclosed.

McMahon controversy 
Netflix was also the streaming service where Vince McMahon's documentary titled Mr McMahon was released in September. The series focuses on his success following his rise as a chairman and the controversies around him. His family members, like his daughter, Stephanie McMahon (an American businesswoman), and other members of the WWE fraternity will be featured in an interview form in the series. The final result after shooting is 200-plus hours of interviews. Later WWE CEO Vince McMahon has publicly criticized an upcoming Netflix documentary series about his life, claiming that its depiction of him is "deceptive" and "misleading." In a statement posted on X on Monday, Sept. 23, McMahon, 79, expressed his disappointment with the producers' portrayal of his life, despite acknowledging that he doesn't regret participating in the series.
