Tennis giant Novak Djokovic revealed that he maintains regular communication with India's batting juggernaut Virat Kohli. He mentioned their friendship has been ongoing for a few years and expressed great admiration for Kohli. Virat Kohli has risen to international fame, becoming a global icon and one of the most recognized figures worldwide. His remarkable achievements in cricket have significantly contributed to his rapid rise in popularity, making him one of the most magnetic attractions for sports fans globally.

Kohli's massive fan base is testament to his immense popularity. Wherever he goes, he is greeted with enthusiastic chants of "Kohli Kohli," indicating his widespread appeal. His influence extends beyond cricket, with athletes from various sports, including Djokovic, counting themselves among his admirers.

Over the past decade, Virat Kohli has elevated his status to be on par with legendary sports figures like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, underscoring his formidable presence in the sports world. The cricketing virtuoso is frequently likened to iconic athletes such as Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic for his dedication and work ethic.

Novak Djokovic himself is an admirer of Virat Kohli. He mentioned that while he hasn't yet had the chance to meet the Indian cricketer in person, he has had the good fortune of communicating with him. Djokovic also expressed his interest in cricket, mentioning his desire to hone his cricketing skills before visiting India. In a conversation with Sony Sports, he elaborated on this topic.

“Virat Kohli and I have been texting a bit for a few years. We never got a chance to meet in person, but it was really an honor and a privilege to hear him speak nicely about me.

“I obviously admire all of his career and achievements and everything  he has done. I started to play cricket, I’m not very good at it. Cricket, being a very big sport in Australia and India… Let’s say that I’ll have a task to perfect my cricket skills before I get to India so that I don’t embarrass myself when I’m there.”

Virat Kohli is widely regarded as one of the premier batters in world cricket. His exceptional skills have been a key factor in the Indian Cricket Team's dominance across all three formats of the game. The right-handed batsman has shattered numerous significant records, securing his place in the annals of cricket history.
