Top-seed Tennis player Jannik Sinner will lock horns with 2021 champion Daniil Medvedev in the quarter-final of the ongoing US Open 2024. This match will be played at Arthur Ashe Stadium, Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, on Wednesday, 4th September.

The Italian started of his campaign on a losing note as he lost the first set of his first-round encounter with Mackenzie McDonald. But, he bounced back to win the match (2-6, 6-2, 6-1, 6-2). In the second round, Sinner defeated Alex Michelsen in straight sets (6-4, 6-0, 6-2).
Christopher O'Connell, was then defeated by Sinner in straight sets (6-1, 6-4, 6-2). In the fourth round, the 23-year-old defeated Tommy Paul in straight sets (7-6(3), 7-6(5), 6-1).

Journey of Medvedev in US Open 2024
Daniil Medvedev defeated the Serbian Dušan Lajović in a four-set thriller (3-6, 6-3, 6-3, 6-3). Medvedev then took on the Hungarian Fábián Marozsán and beat him in straight sets (6-3, 6-2, 7-6(5)).
The third set was a cake walk for Medvedev as he made Flavio Cobolli pay as the Italian lost in straight sets (6-3, 6-4, 6-3). Nuno Borges also could not do much against the 2021 champion as the Portuguese lost in straight sets (6-0, 6-1, 6-3).
