The Riyadh event once again showcases the growing rivalry between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz.

Six Kings Slam made its much-anticipated return to Riyadh this week, bringing together some of the biggest names in tennis for a star-studded exhibition. With Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz once again meeting in the final—just like last year—the event has captured the attention of fans worldwide. But beyond the high-stakes rematch, former American tennis stars John Isner and Jack Sock have added their own twist to the excitement by revealing their dream lineup for what they believe would be the ultimate “Six Kings Slam.”

Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz dominate the modern scene

The 2024 edition of the Six Kings Slam has continued the captivating rivalry between Sinner and Alcaraz, two young champions who have rapidly taken over men’s tennis. Sinner triumphed in last year’s final and once again bested his Spanish rival to lift the trophy this week—alongside a staggering $6 million in prize money.

Throughout the 2024 season, the pair have clashed in three of the four Grand Slam finals, with Alcaraz taking two titles while Sinner captured one, beating Alexander Zverev in the fourth. Their consistent presence in the biggest matches has solidified their reputation as the future of tennis, stepping into a space once dominated by legends like Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic.

In this year’s tournament, Jannik Sinner reached the final after defeating Djokovic, whileCarlos Alcaraz overpowered Taylor Fritz in a gripping semifinal encounter. Earlier rounds saw Fritz eliminate Zverev and Sinner dispatch Stefanos Tsitsipas, setting up yet another marquee showdown between tennis’ two brightest young stars.

Isner and Sock’s dream “Six Kings Slam” lineup

While fans thrilled to the Sinner-Alcaraz rivalry, former American standouts John Isner and Jack Sock joined the Nothing Major Show to share who they would pick for their ultimate Six Kings Slam—one featuring the greatest names in ATP history.

Sock’s dream roster celebrated both legacy and flair.

“I had Roger [Federer], Rafa [Nadal]. I’m going to put Novak in there as well. Then I had [Pete] Sampras and Andre [Agassi].

And then rounding it out with the human highlight reel of Carlos Alcaraz as well. You need the entertainment value plus some rivalries, and then the greats,” he said.

Isner’s choices reflected a mix of dominance and nostalgia, with the American legend giving a nod to one of the sport’s most decorated players.

“I’m throwing Sampras in there. Roger, Rafa, Novak, Pete, Alcaraz, give me Jimmy Connors. 109 titles.”

A blend of eras that defines tennis greatness

The two lineups highlight just how deep the history of men’s tennis runs. Combining titans of the past—Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, and Jimmy Connors—with the enduring brilliance of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic, and the explosive new talent of Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, these dream selections bridge generations of tennis excellence.
