The Belarusian, who has now advanced to her 11th semifinal of the WTA 1000 event, defeated Elena Rybakina 6-3, 6-3, to set up a clash against Pegula of America. On the other hand, Pegula, who has been ranked as high as No. 3 in the WTA, beat qualifier Katerina Siniakova in a three-setter with 2-6, 6-0, 6-3 to set a last-four clash against the defending champion.
Sabalenka and Pegula will meet for the encounter on Saturday, October 11, 2025, and the match will kick off at 4:00 pm. This will be their 11th meeting with the top-seeded star leading their head-to-head record 8-2.
Coco Gauff vs Jasmine Paolini
Gauff, the World No. 3, defeated Laura Siegemund with a 6-3, 6-0 score to reach the last four of the event. On the other hand, Paolini, with a huge upset of the event, outlasted World No. 2 player Iga Swiatek. The Italian dropped just three games on her way to a convincing win against the tennis star from Poland. The six-time Grand Slam champion was beaten with a score of 6-1 6-2 as her run at the event came to an end.
The two semifinalists will face each other on Saturday, October 11, 2025, and the eagerly awaited fixture will start at 2:30 pm. The two have already faced each other five times before, with Paolini leading the head-to-head with 3-2.
