Brie Mode was onn at Royal Rumble 2026 when Brie Bella made her comeback. WWE fans were shocked at Brie's shocking return. She has now opened up about it and explained what all went down with her before Rumble.
While appearing on Crisco Kidd Block Party, Brie noted that she had not competed for a long time. Her last official fight was back at Royal Rumble 2022. What made her more nervous was the question of whether Saudi Arabia would know her or not. And to her surprise, they knew her and popped out the loudest that night.
Bella said that the 'yes kicks' originated by her husband, Bryan Danielson, known to WWE fans as Daniel Bryan, were not even going to happen. She decided to do the kicks only if they chanted 'yes,' or else the purpose of those knicks would have been totally wasted. Even here, she was lucky to be proven wrong, as the Riyadh crowd was non-stop with 'yes' chants.
"I've been out of it for a minute, and when I fully retired, we hadn't been wrestling over there yet. And granted, they could see it on television, but it was different. And so, um, I was kind of really nervous that my music was going to hit. It was going to be crickets. I'll be honest. And truly, I wasn't going to do the yes kicks until about a couple hours before the show, but I only was going to do it if the crowd was going to come because I'm like, you guys, I'm not doing yes kicks if no one's chanting," Brie Bella said about her Royal Rumble return on Crisco Kidd Block Party (From 5:20 onwards)
Nikki Bella's reaction on Brie Bella's return
On the same show, Nikki Bella said that she was too excited for Brie Bella's comeback. She remembered seeing the countdown, and her knowing who was coming at #29 was exciting. Nikki knew a pop was coming, though, which she even felt in the ring.
As she lay down in the ring, she was happy and doing small yes chants of her own. She felt out of the world at that moment and was happy for her sister. Bella funnily noted someone recorded that bit where she is lying down and yet does the 'yes' gestures.
