Logan Paul recently shared a video montage of himself in the six-man tag team fight from WWE RAW, where he teamed up with Bronson Reed and Austin Theory to face Penta, Rey Mysterio, and Dragon Lee. In the caption, he said that he was the first-ever mic'd up wrestler in the company.
Jose Zamora accuses Logan Paul of stealing his gimmick
In reply, indie wrestler Jose Zamora claimed that Paul stole his gimmick on the red-branded show. The 23-year-old shared a new two-minute video clip explaining that he had been using the gimmick for a year and a half on the Indies, and that Paul's videographer took notice of his work and tried to replicate it.
"Logan Paul did the same wrestling gimmick I’ve been doing on the indies for a year and a half," he wrote.
Zamora also disclosed that he was near getting a trademark filed for his gimmick and that he did not want to complain about Paul. He instead wanted to focus on getting fit from a shoulder injury he had picked up and to be the best wrestler he possibly could be.
Logan Paul backs Triple H amid Criticism
In a recent edition of his IMPAULSIVE podcast, Logan Paul spoke regarding fans slamming Triple H for every creative decision that they did not agree with. Paul backed the WWE Chief Content Officer, saying that the decisions were much more nuanced than they appear from the outside.
“I'm telling you as an insider, it's not his fault, 0%. It’s human nature unfortunately, like how easy is it to just assign blame. ‘It's your fault, we hate you.’ When in reality most situations have a lot of nuance," he said. [H/T: WrestleOps]
Triple H came under criticism for WWE's creative decisions on a number of occasions, most recently for John Cena tapping out to Gunther in his retirement fight at Saturday Night's Main Event XLII.
