John Cena is all set to step away from professional WWE this weekend at Saturday Night's Main event, and it looks like it is something he will do with his wife by his side.
Cena recently had a conversation with Chris Van Vliet, where he disclosed that Shay Shariatzdaeh, Whom he tied knots back in 2020 has been at every WWE show since the Summer of Cena, and she has had a key role backstage.
He mentioned that the two of them discuss a lot of stuff, and that she even wrote one of the jokes in Randy Orton's recent promo.
“She’s been backstage with me, not backstage in catering. We share the same room. We talk, we solve all the world’s problems in there. She writes promos, she gives ideas. “She wrote the lazy boy joke for Randy’s promo, She gives a perspective… she’s not a super fan, but she’s not ignorant.”
He went on to note that she sits at ringside and has seen some fights come together, and now she's able to see how it works and how to add her own ideas to this.
John Cena claimed that he didn't want to let his wife work in WWE
John Cena told Chris Van Vilet that at first he was not ready to open up his wrestling life to his wife because he still had that fear of getting fired, but he has now allowed her to be part of all aspects of his life inside and outside of the ring, and he is so happy he has.
It looks like Shay has been able to hand Cena promo ideas and give him a new thought through his farewell tour, which has given him edge when compared to his original WWE run.
