Triple H under fire as WrestleMania 42 card thrown into uncertainty amid slow ticket sales

Story Highlights:

Dave Meltzer claims WWE’s WrestleMania 42 card is now “up in the air” after advance ticket sales dropped nearly 18%.

Triple H faces internal criticism over changing creative plans, while Bron Breakker’s injury adds further uncertainty.

WWE has suffered a big injury blow again, and it could not have come at a worse time. The creative is not changing gears as WrestleMania 42 is around the corner.

The CCO, Triple H, has come under serious criticism for his booking. The Game's recent decisions have not been received well by some fans. He has been getting serious from the WWE Universe lately.

The most recent example of this took place during the Royal Rumble post-show in Saudi Arabia. Fans have high expectations for WrestleMania 42, which is only two months away.

The only match confirmed for the show so far is between Roman Reigns and CM Punk for the WWE Heavyweight Championship.

As per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE had the complete card for WrestleMania 42 panned out before the Royal Rumble.

Now, that may change because of the slow advance ticket sales, which have left people disappointing backstage:

"Before the 'Rumble, they had a complete card for WrestleMania… I was told (now) that everything is up in the air. Essentially the way it was described to me is, this makes no sense, but this is how I was told, is that they are very disappointed with the advance. It’s down about 18% last year at the same time. I think they will still fill it, but, they are disappointed. The problem is that they think changing a card that nobody knows - because people only know one match - so changing the card, it's not like they have a bad card out there and people aren't buying tickets. If that was the case, yeah, sure, think about changing the card. They don't have a card out there."

Currently, Triple H is facing criticism within the creative team for changing plans just like Vince McMahon.

Rumor has it that the WrestleMania 42 card is up in the air, with Roman vs. Punk being the only match locked in.

"There's been a lot of internal criticism of Paul Levesque as far as they keep changing the plans essentially. Like Vince. They have a plan and then they change the plan. And right now, everything is up in the air because of the feeling that the advance is down. It's got nothing to do with the card. There is no card. It's nothing to do with the card. That's why I think the whole thing is so weird, because it's like, why panic over ticket sales and change the card when nobody knows the card to begin with?" (H/T - Wrestletalk)

Big claim on Triple H

Soon after the Royal Rumble, former WWE head writer Vince Russo took to his X to make a big prediction, saying Triple H would not make it through 2026 as the Chief Content Officer.

"I'm really going out on the limb here, but, that's what I do. I don't see @TripleH making it through 2026 in his current role," Russo wrote on X.

With Bron Breakker out of action after going through a surgery for a 'very serious hernia', it remains to be seen how WWE will figure out plans on RAW tonight.
