Kansas City Chiefs have officially revealed their list of inactives ahead of their highly anticipated Monday Night Football clash against the Jacksonville Jaguars. As the defending Super Bowl champions look to regain momentum after a shaky 2-2 start, injury concerns once again play a major role in shaping the lineup for the primetime AFC matchup.

Xavier Worthy cleared to play despite ankle scare

After raising doubts with a swollen ankle that limited his practice reps during the week, rookie sensation Xavier Worthy has been cleared to play. The wide receiver was seen testing his ankle early at EverBank Stadium on Monday, eventually getting the green light from the medical staff.

Worthy, who was a centerpiece of Kansas City’s offensive strategy in Week 4, will be a crucial weapon against a Jacksonville defense that has been dominant in the early stages of the season.

Omarr Norman-Lott ruled out with shoulder injury

On the defensive front, rookie defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott has been ruled inactive. The second-round draft pick suffered a shoulder injury during Friday’s practice and was listed as questionable leading into the game. This will mark his second missed contest of the season, following his absence in the Brazil opener due to an ankle issue.

Norman-Lott’s presence has been missed on the Chiefs’ interior defensive line, particularly against run-heavy offenses. His injury adds further pressure on Kansas City’s defensive rotation as they face a disciplined Jaguars offense.

Mike Danna returns to bolster defensive line

There’s some positive news for Chiefs fans, though. Defensive end Mike Danna, who missed the last two games with a quad injury, has been activated for Monday night. His return brings much-needed depth and experience to the defensive line, especially in Norman-Lott’s absence.

Danna’s ability to pressure quarterbacks and contain the edge could prove vital against Jacksonville’s offensive line — a unit that has surrendered just three sacks all season, the fewest in the NFL.

Kansas City Chiefs aim to overcome injuries and reclaim rhythm

The Chiefs’ injury report highlights both challenges and optimism heading into the contest. With Patrick Mahomes and the offense eager to find consistency, the return of Worthy and Danna could provide the spark Kansas City needs to break through a Jacksonville defense that’s been nothing short of elite so far.
