During a conversation with The Dive, the Chiefs quarterback was asked about the reason behind naming a drink after the 14-time Grammy winner. Mahomes said:

“We obviously wanted to have an ode to Taylor, and how important she is to not only us, but to this city [Kansas City] as well.”

Mahomes continued:

“So, I think people will be super excited to get it. It has the theatrics and stuff like that, which I think people will love, but it's also a really good drink as well.”

The Kansas City Chiefs stars are all set to open a restaurant and didn't forget to pay homage to the global icon. Before its opening, a few menu items were disclosed to the public, which also included the Swift-dedicated drink. Swift is one of the most popular singers, and the Chiefs QB believes that a Swift-inspired drink will be a “best-seller” for them. The drink is named “The Alchemy”, which is a song from her album The Tortured Poets Department, released in 2024, and there is no way the Swifties wouldn't want to try it. The drink, as per a report in Daily Mail, contains a clarified citrus vodka blend, dry curacao, aronia berry, cranberry, strawberry, lime, and oolong tea.

The Chiefs’ teammates are all set to open a restaurant named 1587 Prime, which is a combination of their jersey numbers. It will be located inside the Loews Kansas City Hotel on the ground floor. The highly anticipated eatery is scheduled to open its doors on September 17. Meanwhile, the Chiefs have already kicked off their 2025 season with a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. They are set to face the Philadelphia Eagles next on September 14.
