After being limited to practice on Wednesday, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was seen fully involved in Thursday's practice session grinding it out. He is set to feature in Sunday's mega-clash against the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship game.
What did Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said about Jalen Hurts?
As Sunday's mega-clash against Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship game is fast approaching, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni shared some good news with the fans about Jalen Hurts. Sirianni said, "I think he's had a good week of practice."
The past month was tough for Hurts, who was dealt with a concussion that forced him to miss the final two games of the regular season and, on top of it, a knee injury that he sustained against the Los Angeles Rams in last week's Divisional Round win. Since 2021, Hurts has been on the receiving end of late-season injuries, including his ankle, shoulder, finger, and knee.
What did Jalen Hurts say before the NFC Championship game against the Washington Commanders?
"It's a part of the game. It's a part of the game and whatever comes with that comes with that, you know? I told you guys I've submitted myself to doing whatever it takes to win and some things come with that. But ultimately just got to make the adjustments you need to make to be able to play at a high level. There won't be any excuses going in or coming out," Hurts will be seen donning a brace in the mega-clash on Sunday.
Washington Commanders were with Daron Payne and Bobby Wagner
Just before the NFC Championship game against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Commanders are facing an issue where two players in the form of Daron Payne and Bobby Wagner didn't make it to the practice sessions on Wednesday and Thursday. Payne is having issues with his knee and finger whereas Wagner has an ankle injury.
Wagner was unfortunate as he suffered his ankle injury in the wild-card round win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and in the same match itself, Payne sustained a dislocated finger and is working through a knee issue.
Commanders will also be without their right guard Sam Cosmi as he suffered an ACL injury during the win over the Detroit Lions.
Taylor Rapp out for Buffalo Bills as Christian Benford deemed questionable
Before the much-awaited AFC Championship game, the Kansas City Chiefs find themselves in a rather comfortable position as they have no zero injured players but the Buffalo Bills are still waiting to see if several players from their camp take part on Sunday.
According to Bills head coach Sean McDermott, Taylor Rapp (Safety) is out with a hip injury. He suffered this injury during the team's 27-25 win over Baltimore Ravens. (Cornerback) Christian Benford also suffered a concussion in the same game and he remains in protocol.
(Linebacker) Matt Milano is dealing with hamstring soreness but McDermott feels he will take part in Friday's practice session. Just before the Ravens game, Milano was dealing with a biceps injury and Benford had an ailing back.
