The Kansas City Chiefs are just one win away from scripting the unprecedented milestone of winning three Super Bowls in a row. At the grand stage on February 9, the defending champions will take on the vibrant Philadelphia Eagles at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The clash has all the ingredients to become a cracker of a game, and the fans would expect that unlike many of the Chiefs' games this season the Super Bowl match-up remains free from any controversy.

Andy Reid Breaks Silence on Fans Calling Chiefs' Games Rigged
It is a prevalent discussion that the Chiefs have been on the benefitting end of some of the 50-50 calls by the referees this season. The avid followers of the game have repeatedly hurled the word "Rigged" on social media during Chiefs' games, and the matter has somewhat reached an extent where KVs coach Andy Reid has addressed the elephant in the room.
Reid appeared on The Pat McAfee Show recently and as he was answering some of the relevant questions related to the team ahead of the Super Bowl, the host McAfee found a way to bring the topic of questionable referring into the fray. He joked about Reid potentially making an appointment to meet the referees ahead of the big game.
“You and the refs are meeting like what, tonight, for the Super Bowl? Is that what’s happening?”
Reid wasn't bothered by the joke and subtly brushed off the titter-tatter related to referees without giving the noise any weight.
Reid's reaction was a knowing chuckle followed by a playful “Yeah right.” The veteran coach, then explained, “Listen, I try not to pay attention to any of that stuff,” not spending even 2-cents on the matter any further.
McAfee then added, “It’s loud coach, it’s loud. It’s stupid this happens whenever you win now. It happened to the [New England] Patriots for 20-plus years.” This comment referenced the similar criticisms leveled at the Patriots during their dominance in the 2000s, parallel many NFL fans are drawing as the Chiefs’ success continues.
Despite the loud noise related to referees helping the Chiefs, the Chiefs and coach Andy Reid have remained focused on the job and it will be interesting to note what transpires on February 9. Will the Chiefs successfully accomplish the 3-peat or the Eagles secure their first Super Bowl title, in either case, it will be history in the making.
