"Jets are CLEANING house."

Various teams were active on the trade deadline, but a few "cleaned house" like the Jets.
New York Jets were biggest seller on the trade deadline
On the 2025 trade deadline, the New York Jets were the No.1 sellers. Aaron Glenn's team has accepted the rebuild process, and two big deals stand out.
The first was the decision to trade star cornerback Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts. Gardner represented the Jets for three and a half seasons, but he will now join an in-form Colts side for the remainder of the season. The Jets received two first-round picks and Adonai Mitchell.
The other major deal involved defensive tackle Ouinnen Williams. Williams had been playing for the Jets since 2019, but will not continue his career with the Dallas Cowboys. The Jets got defensive tackle Mazi Smith, a second-round pick in the 2026 draft, and a conditional first-round pick in the 2027 draft in exchange for Williams.
The Jets are 1-7 in the ongoing season so far, and it is visible that they are seeking to load up on draft capital. There were even rumors of Breece Hall being on the market for a third-round pick.
