The Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills put on a spectacular show at the Arrowhead on Sunday in the AFC Championship Game. While the odds suggested that it was going to be a 50-50 game and up until the last three minutes of the fourth quarter, nothing was separating the two sides on the scorecard. However, the Chiefs held their nerves in the clutch situation to once again topple the Bills in the playoff. With the win, the defending champions have secured a place in the Super Bowl 59, and the dream to accomplish the unprecedented 3-peat is just one win away from becoming a reality.

Patrick Mahomes Conveys Apologies to Josh Allen
The Chiefs vs Bills game saw the ever-intriguing and much-anticipated battle between the quarterbacks from both ends. Coming into the match, Chiefs' QB Patrick Mahomes had a perfect postseason record against the Bills QB Josh Allen, and it remains perfect as Mahomes has yet again beaten his counterpart. A Quarterback garnering a 4-0 lead over another quarterback in the playoffs has never happened before in the rich history of the league.
Though he is in the MVP race, unfortunately, he could not stop from becoming a part of the unwanted record. Following the culmination of the Chiefs vs Bills game, Mahomes showcased respect towards Josh Allen. Empathizing with Allen, Mahomes praised Allen for the player and a man he is and conveyed apologies as the condition of the game states that one has to win and the other has to lose.
"I always feel for him, he's a great player, an amazing competitor and an awesome dude who I respect so much," Mahomes said, per Zak Keefer.
"I'm sorry it had to be us. But, you know, we compete, and someone has to win."
With the loss, the Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen's campaign has ended, however, a new season with fresh possibilities and opportunities will return.
