Tech entrepreneur Lucy Guo has officially claimed the title of the youngest self-made woman billionaire, overtaking global music sensation Taylor Swift. The music superstar is currently dating NFL Kansas City Chiefs' tight end and star player Travis Kelce. Meanwhile, Swift, now 35, continues to rank among the world's wealthiest entertainers, with Forbes estimating her net worth at $1.6 billion she has been overpowered in the self made woman billionaire list.

At just 30 years old, Guo has earned her place on Forbes’ exclusive list of self-made women billionaires — a list that features only six women under the age of 40.

Guo's Wealth Tied to Scale AI and Tech Ventures

Guo's wealth originates primarily from Scale AI, the startup she co-founded in San Francisco in 2016 and which specializes in data labeling to train AI systems. Although Guo left Scale AI in 2018, she still held about 5% of the company's equity, which has appreciated considerably since then.

After her stint at Scale AI, Guo started Backend Capital, a venture fund focused on investing in the engineers of the future. Guo then started Passes, a creator-based platform to help content creators monetize their content positionable as a modern alternative to websites like Patreon and OnlyFans. Guo is now serving as the CEO of Passes, where she has led the explosive growth of the platform.

Early Days: Hustling Pokémon Cards to Coding Prodigy

According to Entrepreneur, Guo is from Fremont, California, born to Chinese parents, both electrical engineers. She exhibited business acumen and technical know-how from a young age. Be it the sale of Pokémon cards or building streaming websites with ads strategically working in her favor, she had that candid touch for business.

By second grade, Guo was already making money online through PayPal, using browser-based games like Neopets and RuneScape. She started coding herself back then; Guo first picked up programming invincible skills in middle school.

Taylor Swift amidst It Ends with Us Controversy

Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce has fueled the growing tension between Blake Lively and Taylor Swift through a subtle social media gesture. The spotlight shifted to Kelce this week when fans noticed he unfollowed Ryan Reynolds on Instagram—a move perceived as a silent nod to Swift’s rumored rift with Lively.

Travis Kelce will be returning this season for Chiefs and would be hoping to power Chiefs to another Super Bowl win after missing out on a potential three peat in 2025 where they were defeated by Eagles 40-22.
