Donald Trump cheered as Indiana beat Miami for first CFP National title
The US President Donald Trump made his entrance at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium and received a mixed reaction of applause and boos during the 2026 CFB national championship game.
The 47th president of the United States, Trump, was featured on the big screen while the national anthem was played. The 79-year-old faced a resounding wave of noise, which were initial cheers were met with boos, as per a report by the Express.
Meanwhile, with the final where the Hoosiers beat the Miami Hurricanes with a score of 27-21, the college football season came to an end. Indiana will no longer be known as a basketball school that was hapless on the gridiron.
From recording only 13 winning seasons from 1969 to 2023, they have been enjoying some unexpected rises and turnarounds after the hiring of Curt Cignetti. The Hoosiers went 3-9 in 2023, but under Cignetti, they improved to a stunning record of 25-2 and now have won their first national title.
