Brady’s relationship with former President Donald Trump has also fueled political speculation.

The two have played golf together since 2001, and Brady has referred to Trump as a good friend.

Tom Brady, widely regarded as the greatest quarterback in NFL history, has definitively ruled out any aspirations of entering the political world, despite once considering a career in government. While there has been ongoing speculation about his potential involvement in politics, the seven-time Super Bowl champion has made it clear that his focus lies elsewhere.

In a 2015 interview with GQ, Brady shared his thoughts on the political landscape, stating, "I think in politics, half the people are gonna like you and half the people are not gonna like you, no matter what you do or what you say.... It's like there are no right answers. If there were, everyone would choose the right answers. They're all opinions."

Brady on Politics

Brady’s preference for measurable success in football stands in stark contrast to the often subjective nature of politics.

He elaborated on this in another interview, noting: "There is a 0.000 chance of me ever wanting to do that," when asked about running for president or governor of Massachusetts.

Family considerations have also played a part in his decision. In a 2020 interview with Howard Stern, Brady revealed that his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, had advised him against pursuing a political career, a suggestion he fully agreed with. "I think that's a good decision for our family," he acknowledged.

 A Glimpse of Political Ambition

Although Brady has firmly rejected the idea of a political career, his initial thoughts on the subject were less certain. In a 2004 interview with ESPN Magazine, the young quarterback mentioned that one of his "craziest" dreams as a rookie was to become a U.S. Senator. This interest in public office resurfaced in 2005 during a conversation with CBS Magazine, though his enthusiasm appeared to fade over time. Notably, Brady has not cast a vote since 2000, when he was registered as "undecided" in California, according to The Smoking Gun.

A Friendship with a Former President

Brady’s relationship with former President Donald Trump has also fueled political speculation. The two have played golf together since 2001, and Brady has referred to Trump as a "good friend." However, Brady has avoided publicly revealing his votes in recent presidential elections, making it clear that their friendship does not involve political alignment.
