For the past two decades, the Las Vegas Raiders have struggled to find consistent success. Since their Super Bowl appearance in 2002, the franchise has endured numerous changes and only managed to reach the playoffs twice—once in 2016 and again in 2021. In an effort to turn things around, team owner Mark Davis has made bold moves, bringing in two seasoned leaders who understand what it takes to build a winning organization.

The arrival of NFL legend Tom Brady as a minority owner and veteran coach Pete Carroll as the new head coach signals a fresh start for the Silver and Black. With Brady's unparalleled experience as a player and Carroll's track record of success at every level, the Raiders are aiming to build a foundation that can sustain long-term success.

 A Dynamic Leadership Duo

Carroll and Brady will collaborate closely to ensure the Raiders field a competitive team, making this offseason one of the most pivotal in franchise history. During the NFL’s annual meeting, Carroll shared his thoughts on working alongside Brady and the value he brings to the organization.

"Dealing with Tom is a moment-to-moment recollection of who he is," Carroll said. "He stands for so much. He is not just a trivial, easygoing dude. He is on it, and I say that because he is such a tremendous competitor. He competes at everything that he is doing."

Brady’s relentless drive and attention to detail are qualities Carroll believes will benefit the Raiders both on and off the field.

"He is really a clear communicator. Directed, focused, going back to understand who he is to great depths, he is an amazing asset in an array of ways," Carroll continued. "The only issue is that he is not around all the time. We are not there all the time with them."

 Brady's Impact Behind the Scenes

Though Brady won’t be present daily, Carroll emphasized that he remains deeply involved in shaping the team's future.

"It is not that he is not competing at all; he is keeping track of everything. We talk regularly. Really close with John [Spytek] and they have a great relationship so that we can add the richness that he offers. He is going to have a blast doing this. He is so excited about it. So involved with everything and we are trying to do a good job of really keeping him connected so he really can be at the edge of making, giving me advice and help us make decisions on a way that is representative of our ownership."

Carroll also praised Davis for his vision in assembling a leadership structure capable of restoring the Raiders to prominence.

"Ownership has really changed at the club. And Mark Davis did a tremendous job envisioning what he could put together."
