Beyoncé’s NFL Christmas Day halftime performance raised the bar for future halftime shows.

Beyoncé set the stage on fire at NRG Stadium during the NFL Christmas Day halftime show, which featured the intense battle between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans. The superstar used the stage to showcase tracks from her latest album, Cowboy Carter, marking its first-ever live performance. The show also featured special cameos by Post Malone and Shaboozey, who joined her for memorable moments during the set.

Beyoncé’s Paycheck for the Halftime Performance

Beyoncé’s electrifying halftime performance, which left fans in awe, came with a hefty payday.

According to Diario AS, the Grammy-winning artist was reportedly paid $20 million for her performance at the NFL’s Christmas Day game. The performance was undoubtedly a spectacle, with Beyoncé beginning her show riding on the back of a white horse, accompanied by 16 carriages playing music. Shaboozey joined her for a rendition of "Sweet Honey Buckiin," followed by Post Malone, who performed "Levii’s Jeans." The trio then delivered an unforgettable final performance with Cowboy Carter.

Blue Ivy Joins Beyoncé on Stage

Beyoncé’s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter was a suprise package for the fans. At 12 years old, she joined her mother on stage, dancing alongside her and holding her hand as they performed "Hold Em Texas," delighting both the live audience and viewers at home, as reported by Mirror US.

Setting the Bar for Super Bowl Performances

Beyoncé’s NFL Christmas Day halftime performance raised the bar for future halftime shows. Her stunning performance has set a high standard for the 2025 Super Bowl, where Kendrick Lamar will take the stage as the headliner. Lamar, who performed at Super Bowl LVI in 2022 alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Mary J. Blige, will have big shoes to fill. Beyoncé, known for her powerful live performances, previously headlined Super Bowl XLVII in 2013 and also joined Coldplay and Bruno Mars for a memorable show at Super Bowl 50 in 2016.

Beyonce Breaks All record

According to Nielsen data, the performance attracted an audience of 27 million viewers, outshining even the games themselves. Beyoncé's show became a social media sensation, with the hashtag #BeyonceBowl trending above #Christmas on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting the massive interest in her performance.

Netflix made a significant mark in sports broadcasting this Christmas, as the streaming service reported a record-breaking viewership for two NFL games streamed live on December 25.
